We at DMedia Associates have extensive and relevant relationships, experience and education in the licensing of scientific, technical and medical (STM) content for and to all relevant industry sectors, including government, academia and corporate.  We understand the complexity, rigor and most importantly the friction that is inherent in the acquisition or dissemination of STM content. In so operating our company we realized that there is and must be a far better way to increase the flow of information to support the countless and ever-growing number of organizations who rely on the content to build their products and services, or train their systems as an integral part of such development (as would be the case for AI systems). 

We therefore have created the Data Licensing Alliance (DLA).  DLA will democratize information through technology by developing and operating a clearinghouse for both data owners and data buyers needing to license STM content for machine learning/artificial intelligence (ML/AI) purposes.  The anticipated result will be the broadening of opportunities to access STM content by individuals, groups, institutions, and geographic regions that need such data, and as a consequence increase the health and vitality of the sciences.

DLA’s mandate, by its nature, is exactly to support an organizations research and development efforts.  DLA would be the clearinghouse to license content for ML/AI end users.  The clearinghouse for STM content will provide a comprehensive and convenient forum, while removing the barriers such as sourcing, license negotiation, cost and data format disparity.

DLA is the most advanced (and only) marketplace where data owners can distribute, exchange, share and commercialize data for ML/AI purposes.   By design, the platform and marketplace addresses the key legal, technical, security and compliance requirements necessary to enforce current and future data policies and frameworks.
