Verse 18: Star Wars on Hold!

Hello! As we put this edition of Verse together, we had an eye on the breaking news that the upcoming Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic remake is on indefinite hold following the recent firings of two key directors. I suppose we’ll just have to find other suitable shows to binge watch while we wait. Any suggestions??

Among items of note in this issue of Verse, deep learning to predict cerebral palsy in infants, why we sleep with a blanket when it is hot, and a fascinating look at what's happening in neuroimaging using deep learning. Before we sign off *Ahem* we would like to draw your attention to our tweet from last week!

As always please keep sharing using the buttons below. We’d also love to hear from you, so please drop us a line via the feedback button. Thanks again for reading.

When it comes to the data economy, it’s early days still. There are big gaps between the types of data access and sharing activities that companies would like to be doing and what they are actually doing.

That much was evident from a recent Snowflake report, which showed meager private sector mastery of the data economy–but on the flipside, that means there's still a lot of opportunity for improvement.
